Kokrobite Beach — Sun, Sand & the Atlantic

Driver and guide meet guests at the hotel at 9:00 AM. Water and light snacks distributed in the vehicle. Guide briefs the group on the day — Kokrobite overview, the water sports session, beach volleyball, lunch, free beach time, and the sunset. Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, and a change of dry clothes, plus a camera or waterproof phone case.

Approximately a 45-minute drive west from Accra along the coastal road to Kokrobite. The guide introduces the beach, its surf culture, and the plan for the day. The Atlantic coastline and relaxed village atmosphere come into view as the vehicle approaches.

Arrive at Kokrobite. The guide secures the group's base for the day — shaded seating, umbrellas, and beach chairs at a beachfront venue. Guests get changed, apply sunscreen, and take their first look at the Atlantic. The guide orients everyone: safe swimming zones, the water sports meeting point, the volleyball area, and the lunch venue. Beach entry fee included.

The guide organises beach volleyball on the sand, splitting the group into teams for a fun and social competition (equipment provided). Guests who prefer not to play can swim, relax under umbrellas, browse the local beach vendors, or simply take in the ocean. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

A relaxed sit-down lunch at a beachfront restaurant. The menu features fresh Ghanaian dishes and grilled seafood: grilled tilapia, jollof rice, kelewele, grilled chicken, and fresh tropical juices, all with ocean views. Vegetarian options available; additional drinks at own cost. Lunch included.

A generous free afternoon entirely at guests' own pace — more swimming, sunbathing, exploring local vendors selling crafts and jewellery, reading, or simply watching the Atlantic. The guide remains on-site throughout. Cold drinks, fresh coconut water, and beach snacks are available from beachfront vendors at own cost. Reapply sunscreen in the afternoon.

Ghana's Atlantic coast offers spectacular sunsets — the sky turns deep amber, gold, and crimson as the sun drops into the ocean horizon. The guide gathers the group at the waterline for the sunset, one of the most beautiful photography moments of any day trip in this collection — a natural, unhurried close to the beach day.

Approximately a 45-minute return drive from Kokrobite to Accra after sunset. Guests are dropped at their hotels in the early evening. Dinner is not included — the guide shares Accra dining recommendations. Allow extra time on Fridays and weekends for coastal road traffic.
