Arrive at the studio — or, on Option 2, your driver collects you from your accommodation. Welcome drink on arrival, then the stylist walks you through the Kente and regalia options and you choose your preferred royal colour combination.
Before styling begins, a personal briefing on the Kente you've chosen — its patterns, colour symbolism (gold for royalty, green for renewal, red for political strength, blue for harmony, black for spiritual strength), and the meaning of each ornament and piece of regalia.
Professional makeup tailored to your skin tone and the regalia, then the stylist dresses you head to toe — Kente draping in the traditional Akan manner, crown or head wrap, full ornament layering (necklaces, wrist and ankle beads, chest plate), and the Ahenema royal sandals. A mirror moment in full regalia before the camera.
A fully directed studio session with professional lighting, curated backdrops, and the royal props set — the throne portrait, standing royal, staff and sceptre, the gaze, fabric detail, the ancestral portrait, and the celebration pose. No experience needed; the photographer directs every pose.
Travel to the confirmed Accra landmark location(s) for the procession walk and grand wide-angle compositions — Kente regalia set against monuments like the Independence Arch and Black Star Square produce the most visually striking images of the session. Coordinated couples/group shots captured where applicable.
The photographer shares a preview of selected raw images at the end of the session; flag your favourites for priority editing. The stylist carefully returns all regalia. Your fully edited gallery and one-minute video reel arrive within 48–72 hours via a private gallery link. Option 2 guests are returned to their accommodation.
Two options, identical creative experience — the difference is transport: Option 1 — Shoot Only: make your own way to the studio / meet at the outdoor location (Option 1 guests travel with the group in the session vehicle at a shared cost for the outdoor leg). Option 2 — With Pickup & Drop-off: collected from and returned to your accommodation in a private A/C vehicle. Outdoor landmark locations may include Independence Arch, Black Star Square, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, Jamestown Lighthouse, and the National Theatre — confirmed at booking based on access and weather (in heavy rain, all compositions are completed in-studio). Provide your clothing size and skin tone at booking so the stylist prepares your Kente draping and makeup palette.
